Deed I Do worst part of great movie! I enjoyed the movie. Those guys were like a caricature of Martin & Lewis.
But don't blame the song as poorly-written, as one person did. The 1926 song 'Deed I Do was mugged and hammed up and butchered by Duke, the only disappointment of the film.
I'm familiar with this old song because I found it at the archive dismuke.org last year, recorded by Al Lentz's Dance Orchestra. I found this info about it elsewhere online: 'Deed I Do. Words & Music by Walter Hirsch & Fred Rose, 1926.
The best part is, I bought the DVD for a buck at Wal-Mart. For a buck, you can't go wrong!
