I am a fifth year PhD student in the Department of Statistics at Yale University. I joined Yale in 2006 after finishing the B.Stat and M.Stat degrees at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.

My dissertation advisor is Professor David Pollard.

My research interests include applications of convexity to statistics (e.g., using f-divergences), nonparametric estimation and minimax lower bounds. I have also worked on Respondent Driven Sampling, concentration of measure for large random matrices and on properties of the James-Stein estimator. I have listed my publications here.
